Dr. Marleen Groenier is a human factors researcher with a passion for understanding how people learn to perform complex tasks, specialising in expertise development of healthcare professionals working with medical technology. Dr. Marleen Groenier coordinates the technical-medical educational research in the Lab for Lifelong Professional Learning which is affiliated with the TechMed Centre at the University of Twente, Enschede. Dr. Marleen Groenier is a board member of the DSSH.

Summary
The Dutch Society for Simulation in Healthcare (DSSH) functions as a national ecosystem that connects professionals, institutions, and industry partners involved in simulation-based education and serious gaming in healthcare. Founded in 2007, the DSSH facilitates knowledge exchange, enables collaboration and thereby strengthens the quality and impact of simulation-based training in the Netherlands and Vlaanderen. In this presentation, we will illustrate how the DSSH works to advance its mission to improve patient safety, education, training, scientific research, and quality management in healthcare.
