- MSc. Petra Sabolová is a Research and Science Officer in Psychology at AGEL Košice-Šaca Hospital. After completing her studies in neuropsychology in the Netherlands, she transitioned into a clinical setting in Slovakia. She now works primarily in the neurology and burn and reconstructive surgery department, alongside research and academic activities.

- This presentation introduces the clinical implementation of Play it Forward, a values-based card game, in a Slovak hospital setting. It focuses on the game’s use as a potentially valuable tool for patients who have difficulty expressing their internal psychological states or connecting with healthcare workers following illness, injury, or medical trauma. The focus is on its use in neurology and burn care with patients who experience emotional distress, identity disruption, and difficulties communicating needs, fears, and values. Play It Forward was adapted as a brief, flexible intervention to support therapeutic communication, strengthen the patient–clinician connection, and promote reflection on personal values during hospitalisation and recovery.
