Marcel Pierre

Marcel Pierre has been an advisor to Yes We Can Clinics ever since it began in 2010 and has held the post of Chief Financial Officer since the end of 2015. Prior to Yes We Can, Marcel studied at the International School of General Management in Germany, and worked for AkzoNobel, a Dutch multinational, rising through the ranks to become CFO for Akzo’s production plant in Alabama, USA.

Pierre: ‘‘After my time in the States, I met Jan Willem Poot, CEO of Yes We Can Clinics. He asked me to advise him on the business side of his company branching out internationally. I was immediately inspired by the fantastic work this organization did. I’m very grateful that I had the opportunity to become CFO and shareholder of the Yes We Can Clinics Group.”

The organisation matured very quickly. It started on a small scale in 2010 when a group of enthusiasts, led by Jan Willem Poot, organised outdoor activities and sports in the Ardennes for youngsters with problems. Jan Willem Poot wanted to do things differently and wanted to offer solutions to young people with mental health and behavioural issues.

Now, Yes We Can Youth Clinics is a stable, specialised mental healthcare institution, with more than 330 employees, that treats 800 Dutch and international teenagers and young adults in a beautiful clinic in The Netherlands. It’s great to see how Yes We Can Youth Clinics has grown so quickly.”
