PRESENTATION 2019
The art of making prevention work in youth health (from urgence to essence)
What makes people change their behaviour and jump for joy rather than stay in “pain”. For most people, including doctors and policymakers, prevention is less tangible than treatment.
It’s much easier to picture treating someone with a depression than it is to imagine altering the complex threads that determine whether a person will overcome this state of mind”.
It’s often easier to give a person a pill (that is hardly ever altering the cause) than working towards changing fundamental habbits. In my keynote “The art of making prevention work in youth health (from urgence to essence)”.
I will talk about (the need) of population based prevention versus the high risk (curative) strategy approach and the role of serious gaming.
